Firstly, I would like to respect in writing this letter to you for the purpose of showing our company's profile and for your kind consideration and selection in the business relations in the future with our firm. Sokan Transport Co., Ltd. is legally set up in 2000 under the registration with the Ministry of Commerce and VAT registration No.VAT TIN 01. 100055338 with the Government Tax Department. It is locally owned to provide the transportation, clearance, freight service to various clients in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

It is directed by myself, Chhim Sokan, who was formerly director of N.K Group Co., Ltd. in full of experiences in such fields and who has been nominated as a Chairman of Cambodia Truck Association (CAMTA) elected by transportation members in Cambodia on September 17th, 2004. I was also involved a lot with this work since the last 10 years in which I had worked as Deputy Chief of Transportation Department in the Ministry of Commerce in the state of Cambodia. Permanently I have a good relationship with the customs, camcontrol and other government high-ranking officials as well as respective department, which is an advantage to facilitate the clients business for either importation or exportation by sea, land or air.

Nowadays, we provide nationwide services of transportation and customs clearance to our customers for all international customs points in the kingdom of Cambodia such as Sihanoukville Port, Phnom Penh International Airport, Phnom Penh Port, all Dry Ports in Phnom Penh, Bavet Border, Smach Border, Poi Pet Border…etc. We have our agents in Vietnam, Thailand, USA, Malaysia, Singapore direct contact. We also provide worldwide services and we have experience of trucking heavy equipments by using special trailer (SPMT) as well. The most importantly, we have truck and cargoes insurance which coverage for any accidents or damages in the period of our services providing.

Furthermore, there is more than two hundred peoples work for our company. All of them are active, friendly, challenging and work with discipline.

Until now, we have our own head office, branch office and our own depot with 97 own trucks, 155 units of trailers, 6 lorries, 2 forklifts and 4 cranes with high quality for its own business activities.

Our 29,855sqm depot is located at Phum Trapaing Thleung, Sangkat Choam Chao, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh (just off Veng Sreng road). It is a very wide and safety place where the trucks can be parked and the containers can be stored in. Moreover, we have our own security guard and the private security guard hiring for private security company which totally 6 peoples.

We also have a very high security 2,000sqm warehouse with legal authorization for inspection of exported goods, which can contains over 4,000 CBM.

In our depot, we have separated into two teams, under the control of one management, the truck operation team and workshop team. Each team has one team leader who works closely to the management.

We have our own technician in the workshop and they stand by for maintenances and repairing all of our trucks, lorries, forklift and cranes 24 hours. In the workshop the team leader worked closely to theirs own staffs and regularly report to the management at the head office.

For the truck operation team leader works closely to all drivers and reports regularly to the management at head office the place where the trucks stay in. All our drivers must have licenses, passed the training course and test and work with uniform. In addition, each driver must have telephone to keep contact with the team leader.

Our depot employed 162 peoples which are 59 truck drivers and 5 drivers stand by, 59 truck co-drivers, 6 lorry drivers, 6 lorry co-drivers, 2 forklift drivers, 4 crane drivers, 4 crane co-drivers, 5 technicians, 10 technician clerks, other 4 staffs, 2 team leaders and one management.

Our branch office at Kampong Cham Province is located at Phum 4, Veal Vong commune, Kampong Cham distric, Kampong Cham Province. We open this office to provide service to all our customers who want to import or export their goods via Trapang Plong border where is one of the most potential border. This office employed 7 peoples which is 6 professional clearance staffs and one management.
